Q: How long have you been an Ukeru trainer?

A: 5 years 

Q: What population do you work with? What inspired you to get into this field? 

A: Special Education students with autism, emotional disabilities, and general education students.

Q: What part of Ukeru do you enjoy teaching the most and why?  

A: Trauma-informed practices

Q: What would you say to someone who is unsure about using Ukeru? 

A: It is an effective intervention for students, adults and caregivers.  

Q: What advice or tip would you give to a new Ukeru trainer? 

A: Highlight the universal precaution of assuming everyone has experienced trauma. 

Q: How has Ukeru impacted your life? 

A: It has given me another tool to provide clients with the ability to experience a better quality of education and life.
